In both the Wolf & Bear books there is an achievement for planning and carrying out a den meeting. We want to give the boys the opportunity to pass this off, and do a den meeting they will really enjoy but, we will need your help with this. Below is a schedule of the dates we have assigned each boy. If it doesn’t work with your schedule please let me know as soon as possible. Each boy will be responsible for ½ hr; or you can choose to work with your partner and together plan for 1 hr. Please plan on having an adult attend with your cub scout to help carry out the activity. Thanks so much!

We hope you all had a merry Christmas! It seems like forever since we have had scouts; we are excited to get things started again. Hopefully 2009 will be our best scouting year yet!

This last month we had a lot of fun making our spy books, and talking with the Division of Wildlife Resources. We are looking forward to some Christmas fun this month! We are excited to welcome Miiles into our Den and are sad to be losing Hayden… but wish him luck in Webelos!

We say goodbye to May, and welcome june! The boys had a lot of fun with our May activities, they are quite the little chefs. The final decision for the pinewood Derby is August 26th…. So save your cars and we will have more information as it gets closer. Also, many apologies for totally spacing off scouts last week… family reunion and Sadie's birthday spelled a forgetful den leader… sorry!

*Cub scout Day camp is June 20th and 21st. Each boy will need to meet at the church at 7:45 am. We will drop the boys off at THEIR homes. Camp ends at 3:00 p.m., so the boys should be home around 3:30. The boys are responsible for their own lunches, we will have coolers. HOM
